Mama Bear wanted some focaccia bread. Her latest craze. So I pedaled down to the store to get some. They say if you don't like the weather in Colorado just wait ten minutes. This was verified on this occasion as with many others. It got cloudy. On the way back it started to snow. I hauled out my gloves and skull cap. It started hailing. That hurt, then it started snowing pretty hard and the wind came up. It would veer around so that I was usually going upwind as my route turned this way and that. My fingers got pretty cold. I kept stopping under a tree to warm up my fingers. Then I started noticing cars sliding around on the pavement, wondered if I would stay upright. Finally I sort of fell over just as I reached my house. I walked the bike the last few yards. Mama Bear took this picture of me. Sorry if my smile was a little thin. My fingers were starting to warm up and hurt.
